Zoning Board of Appeals Minutes
Regular Meeting and Public Hearing

The Zoning Board of Appeals held a regular meeting and public hearing on September 2, 2010 in the Town Hall of Greig, NY. The meeting was called to order by Chairman, Brian Patterson at 6:29PM.
Roll call: Present were Brian Patterson, Don Mallette , Audrey Drake, Herb Robinson and Ben Booth. Ed Bush was absent. Code Enforcement Officer, David Meade was also present.
The minutes from August 5, 2010 were read and approved - so moved by Herb Robinson and seconded by Don Mallette-all in favor.
Chairman Patterson opened the public hearing at 6:33 PM for ZBA 3-10 by Robert Hindman to build an open-sided boat house with a rooftop deck on his property which is too close to the sideline setback. The existing dock will be removed and a five foot variance is requested. The APA and DEC have given approval for the project. A site inspection was completed by board members and there were no neighbor objections. A motion was made by Herb Robinson to close the public hearing at 6:35 and seconded by Ben Booth.
Mr. Robinson made a motion to approve the variance of five feet from the sideline setback.
The vote was as follows:

Ed Bush-absent-considered no
Therefore, the variance for ZBA 3-10 has been approved. Secretary Drake will send a letter of Decision and Resolution to Mr. Hindman.
Old business: none at this time.
New business: ZBA 4-10 by Rosemary Fairbanks to replace a boathouse in the same location. The applicant is requesting a five foot variance. The property is located at 5220 Lake House Rd, Brantingham, NY 13312. A site inspection will be completed by board members and a public hearing will be held on October 7, 2010 at 6:30 PM in the Greig Town Hall.
Having no other business, Herb Robinson made a motion to close the meeting at 6:40 PM and was seconded by Ben Booth
The next regular meeting will be on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at 6:30 PM in the Greig Town Hall.
